Arfa Kareem
She’s a dream and a thought
She was a girl who fought
Through her difficulties,
Her voice echoes in my ear,
I cannot take it anymore
That now she’s been lost.
I thought that I could
But I never would
Get a chance to pray once for her,
I consider myself a murderer
To know not about her ‘til now
Time has passed and I wonder how
Her every moment, her every cry,
Put in your mind and heart
Then you’ll know why she
Left us when we came by
She was real miracle
Sent here,
We did everything for her
But there was some reason
Why God called her to Him
She will surely go to Heaven
She was an angel, who was seen,
And her name was Arfa Kareem.

The-List-of-things-I-might-never-be-able-to-fulfill-but-I-will-still-make-this-list
Yes New Year’s resolutions are the thing I’m talking about and no matter how much I try I’m never able to keep them. But it’s a tradition that never gets old and in case we all die tonight as forecasted by many wannabe Madame Lenormands commonly known as fortune tellers, I will proceed with the work on hand.
So here are my resolutions for the New Year 2012:
- I will try and not make a tongue-out smiley (:p) after everything I write. Like seriously.:p
- I am going to try and not roll my eyes THAT often. It just makes people jealous how they aren’t able to do it as good as me. Modest me.
- I will try my best to survive the torture of Indus with good grace and smiles. *cough* not possible*cough*
- I am so going to try to not send 12009498786 texts per day and I will give my poor fingers some rest.
- I will learn to cook something more than a packet of Maggie noodles (which BTW have been reduced to a mouthful per packet)
- I will try not to piss off my school/Lyceum friends when I’m with IVS friends and vice versa. (Everyone is just SO possessive of me GOD. Chillax people I can be friends with all of you at once. No need to fight over me you know.)
- I will increase my collection of books from a cupboard-full to a roomful. Promise.
- I will read Harry Potter five more times and learn all the famous quotes and use them in my daily conversations.
- I will watch more T.V. Watching just three Pakistani drama serials on weekends and watching TVD,Masterchef,TBBT,HIMYM,Supernatural,Friends and a truckload of other TV shows throughout the week is just not enough.
- I will try and be more patient. (Everything is not followed by a joke guys. This is a serious one)
- I will try and not chat, text message, call and Facebook with the same person all at the same time.
- I am so going to the next jalsa in Karachi. Nobody can stop me this time.
- I will change my cellphone. (In this lifetime pakka)
- I will watch a football match even if it is at 4 am in the night. No parental controls on football!
- I will collect Barcelona paraphernalia and make my room look like Barca’s changing room (uh less stinky and less cluttered of course)
- I will stop drooling over Fawad Khan.
- I will try and not treat my phone like a body part.
- I will blog daily! Yes I will.
- I will not refresh my Facebook page every thirty seconds.
- I will try and disclose a huge secret of my life. *evil smile*
So here is what I wish to do and not do in the next year. Keeping my awesomeness in mind I can say that a few of the above will be accomplished *fingers crossed* while a few are just wishes which can never come true.
While I was making my own list, my best cousin/friend made her own list and I think it’s worth sharing over here. I just love it Sobia. :D
Here goes:
- I will not think about Asher.
- I will not laugh during serious classes.
- I will ignore hot guys (esp. if they are from the school admin).
- I will definitely go to the next jalsa in Karachi.
- I will TRY to be less potty obsessed.
- I will NOT follow the stupid first-term resolution that we are made to write in school highlighting what our goals are for the term and how we intend to improve ourselves. Sorry, but that is my problem and not the schools so they can just shove the resolution…where ever.
- Humsafar is a drama; I will try and accept that fact.
- I will find out what’s interesting in Big Boss.
- I will keep my phone with ‘love and care’.
- I will re-make my study timetable and keep Saturdays free (drama day hai yar).
- And yes I will respect the teacher who thinks of me as the best-behaved student despite of all my kuttapan. (doggy-ness)
Happy New Year to everyone! Don’t forget the fireworks Karachi walon.\m/
